Kenan Doğulu in Istanbul

Kenan Doğulu is a Turkish pop singer, songwriter and producer, born in Istanbul in 1974. He released his debut album, Yaparım Bilirsin, in 1993 and became known for songs including “Çakkıdı” and “Tutamıyorum Zamanı.” He represented Turkey at the Eurovision Song Contest with “Shake It Up Şekerim,” finishing fourth. At the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest in Helsinki, Kenan Doğulu performed “Shake It Up Şekerim” with a choreographed stage show. His concert work has also included repeated summer performances at Istanbul’s Harbiye Cemil Topuzlu Open-Air Theatre.
