Kiasmos in San Francisco

Kiasmos are an Icelandic-Faroese electronic duo formed by composer Ólafur Arnalds and producer Janus Rasmussen. They make minimal electronic music built around piano, synthesizers and restrained techno rhythms. The self-titled album Kiasmos and the tracks “Looped,” “Bent” and “Swept” are central works in their catalogue. At Iceland Airwaves, the duo recorded a KEXP session at Kex Hostel in Reykjavík, performing pieces from their debut album on piano, synthesizers and electronic percussion. They later took that instrumental setup to a Cercle performance beneath the glass roof of the Palais de la Découverte in Paris.
