Ovlov is an American indie-rock band formed in Newtown, Connecticut, in 2008 by singer and guitarist Steve Hartlett. Dense distorted guitars and melodic vocals place the group between noise rock and shoegaze; its principal albums include Am, Tru and Buds. In 2015, Ovlov played a show billed as its farewell at the DIY venue Shea Stadium after announcing a breakup. The group later reunited, resumed touring behind Tru and Buds, and returned to clubs in Brooklyn.
