King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard is an Australian rock band formed in Melbourne in 2010. Their records cover psychedelic and garage rock, progressive rock, microtonal experiments and thrash metal. Key albums include the continuously looping Nonagon Infinity, Flying Microtonal Banana and Infest the Rats’ Nest. In 2022, the band played three marathon concerts at Red Rocks Amphitheatre without repeating a song across the shows. The 2023 Residency Tour was built around multi-night engagements and included another three-hour performance at the Hollywood Bowl. The band organized and headlined its own Australian festival, Gizzfest. It has also performed at Coachella and Glastonbury.
