Crypta & Vexed in Cologne

Crypta is a Brazilian death-metal band formed in São Paulo in 2019 by vocalist and bassist Fernanda Lira and drummer Luana Dametto, both formerly of Nervosa. The band plays death metal with thrash-metal edges and is known for the albums Echoes of the Soul and Shades of Sorrow, as well as songs including “From the Ashes” and “Lord of Ruins.” In 2022, Crypta performed at Wacken Open Air and Rock in Rio. The following year, the band joined Morbid Angel’s Tour of Terror across North America; Revocation and Skeletal Remains completed the touring package.

Vexed are a British metal band formed in Hertfordshire in 2019. Their music centres on metalcore, down-tuned riffs and the harsh and clean vocals of Megan Targett. The albums Culling Culture and Negative Energy include tracks such as “Narcissist,” “Hideous” and “Anti-Fetish.” Vexed played their first concert at Bloodstock Open Air in 2021, after the pandemic had prevented them from touring their debut album. Their first UK headline tour followed in 2022, and the band later performed at Download Festival.
