Konstantin Wecker in Fürstenfeldbruck

Konstantin Wecker is a German Liedermacher, singer-songwriter and composer, born in Munich in 1947. His piano-led work joins personal lyricism with political commentary; his best-known songs include “Willy,” “Genug ist nicht genug” and “Sage Nein!” Was für eine Nacht, released in 2001, documented his joint concerts with fellow songwriter Hannes Wader. He later worked with Wader and Sicilian singer Pippo Pollina on the concert and recording project Süden. In 2017, he took songs and poetry on the road in the ensemble program Poesie und Widerstand, created around his 70th birthday.
