Kraftwerk in Pula

Kraftwerk is a German electronic group founded in Düsseldorf in 1970 by Ralf Hütter and Florian Schneider. Synthesizers, drum machines and vocoders shaped albums including Autobahn, Trans-Europe Express, The Man-Machine and Computer World, as well as songs such as “The Model,” “The Robots” and “Tour de France.” The 1981 Computer World tour reached Tokyo and Bombay. In 2012, Kraftwerk presented eight albums on consecutive nights at the Museum of Modern Art in New York; the following year, they brought the same catalogue format to Tate Modern in London. The 3-D concert format places four performers at consoles while films and computer animation are synchronized to the music. During “The Robots,” replicas of the members take their place onstage. Kraftwerk presented the catalogue series at Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles in 2014. In 2016, they headlined Movement Detroit.
