Kraken is a Colombian heavy-metal and hard-rock band formed in Medellín in 1984. Singer Elkin Ramírez became the group’s central voice, and its best-known work includes the albums Kraken and Kraken II and songs such as “Vestido de cristal,” “Lenguaje de mi piel” and “Todo hombre es una historia.” Kraken performed at Rock al Parque in Bogotá, presenting its heavy-metal catalogue in an outdoor festival setting. The band later returned to Medellín for Festival Internacional Altavoz.
