KRS-One in Gothenburg

KRS-One is an American rapper from New York who co-founded Boogie Down Productions with Scott La Rock. His direct, politically engaged writing helped shape albums including Criminal Minded and By All Means Necessary, while “South Bronx,” “The Bridge Is Over” and the solo single “Sound of da Police” became signature tracks. The 1991 Boogie Down Productions album Live Hardcore Worldwide documented KRS-One’s concert work before he began releasing albums under his own name. He later performed on Rock the Bells in 2007 and returned to the festival in 2011 to present Criminal Minded in full.
