LA INDIA in Westbury

LA INDIA is a Puerto Rican salsa singer, born in 1969 in Río Piedras and raised in the Bronx. After early work in freestyle and house music, including the album Breaking Night, she recorded Llegó La India via Eddie Palmieri and Dicen Que Soy. Her best-known songs include “Ese Hombre,” “Mi Mayor Venganza” and “Vivir Lo Nuestro,” a duet with Marc Anthony. In 1993, LA INDIA performed at the La Combinación Perfecta concert at Madison Square Garden, where she sang “Vivir Lo Nuestro” with Marc Anthony. The duet became part of her concert repertoire, which she later presented in headline performances at Lehman Center for the Performing Arts in the Bronx.
