Artist
La Luz is an American surf-rock and psychedelic-pop band formed in Seattle in 2012 by singer and guitarist Shana Cleveland. The group became known through albums including It's Alive, Weirdo Shrine and Floating Features, and songs such as “Call Me in the Day” and “Sure as Spring.” In 2013, La Luz joined of Montreal on tour, but a highway collision involving the band’s van forced them to cancel the remaining dates. After recovering, they resumed club and festival performances and later played Pickathon and Desert Daze. Their concerts are full-band performances, and an audience “Soul Train” dance contest has been a recurring part of the set. Shana Cleveland leads the songs on guitar and vocals.
