LaBrassBanda & Fäaschtbänkler in Lübeck

LaBrassBanda are a German brass band formed in 2007 in Übersee, Bavaria, by singer and trumpeter Stefan Dettl. They play Bavarian folk music shaped by ska, reggae and punk rhythms, often singing in Bavarian dialect. Their best-known releases include the albums Habediehre and Übersee, and the songs “Autobahn” and “Nackert.” In 2013, LaBrassBanda performed “Nackert” in the televised German selection Unser Song für Malmö. The Europa tour followed, culminating at Munich’s Olympiahalle in 2014, and the band marked its tenth anniversary with an open-air concert at Königsplatz in 2017. LaBrassBanda have also performed at Roskilde Festival in Denmark and Hurricane Festival in Germany.

Fäaschtbänkler are a Swiss five-piece band formed in 2008 in Kriessern, in the canton of St. Gallen. They play brass-led pop with rock, schlager and electronic dance rhythms, and are known for songs including “Can You English Please,” “Humpa Humpa” and “Partyplanet,” as well as the albums Partyplanet and All In. The group has performed at Woodstock der Blasmusik and Brass Wiesn, presenting its songs through brass and woodwind instruments, percussion and vocals. Fäaschtbänkler also headline hall concerts across Switzerland, Germany and Austria.
