Lacrimas Profundere are a German gothic metal band formed in Waging am See in 1993 by guitarist Oliver Nikolas Schmid. Their early records drew on death-doom metal before albums including Burning: A Wish, Ave End and Filthy Notes for Frozen Hearts moved toward gothic metal and dark rock. “My Velvet Little Darkness” and “Again It’s Over” are among their best-known songs. Lacrimas Profundere have toured Europe as a full band, playing club dates as well as metal and gothic festivals. Their festival history includes appearances at Wacken Open Air and M’era Luna.
