Lara Ricote in Leeds

Lara Ricote is a Mexican-American-Venezan stand-up comedian based in Amsterdam. She is known for the autobiographical show GRL/LATNX/DEF, which draws on identity, family and her experience of hearing loss, and earned her the Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Newcomer. GRL/LATNX/DEF played the 2022 Edinburgh Festival Fringe before Ricote took it to theatres elsewhere in the UK. She followed it with Little Tiny Wet Show (baptism), presenting the solo hour at the Fringe and later at Soho Theatre.
