Comedian
Rose Matafeo is a New Zealand stand-up comedian, writer, actor and director born in Auckland in 1992. She is known for the comedy show Horndog and for creating, co-writing and starring in the television romantic comedy Starstruck. Horndog won the Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Comedy Show at the 2018 Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Matafeo subsequently toured the show and recorded it at London’s Ambassadors Theatre for a stand-up special released by HBO Max. Her solo comedy has also featured at the New Zealand International Comedy Festival and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
