Lennie Gallant in Newcastle upon Tyne

Lennie Gallant is a Canadian singer-songwriter from Rustico, Prince Edward Island, who performs folk and folk rock in English and French. His narrative songwriting is represented by songs including “Peter’s Dream” and “The Band’s Still Playing,” while Breakwater and The Open Window are among his best-known albums. Searching for Abegweit, Gallant’s multimedia production about Prince Edward Island, paired his songs with visual art by his sister Karen Gallant. The show had repeated summer runs at Harbourfront Theatre in Summerside before touring Atlantic Canada. He has also performed at the Stan Rogers Folk Festival in Canso and Cape Breton’s Celtic Colours International Festival.
