L'Entourloop in The City of Brighton and Hove

L’Entourloop is a French sound-system project formed in Saint-Étienne in 2013. Its music places reggae and dub rhythms around hip-hop samples and turntable production, while its creators perform as the veteran-selector characters Sir James and King Johnny. The project is known for the albums Chickens in Your Town, Le Savoir Faire and La Clarté dans la Confusion, as well as “Dreader Than Dread” featuring Skarra Mucci. The La Clarté dans la Confusion tour brought the project to the Olympia in Paris and continued through European festival dates. Its festival history also includes Boomtown Fair and Rototom Sunsplash. The touring show expands the sound-system setup into an ensemble performance led by the two selectors, MC Troy Berkley and trumpeter N’Zeng.
