Les Savy Fav in Grand Rapids

Les Savy Fav are an American post-punk and indie-rock band formed in Providence, Rhode Island, in 1995 by students at the Rhode Island School of Design. Their catalogue includes the albums The Cat and the Cobra, Go Forth and Let’s Stay Friends, plus songs such as “The Sweat Descends,” “Patty Lee” and “Hold On to Your Genre.” After a long recording break, they released Oui, LSF in 2024. Through the 2000s, Les Savy Fav toured clubs and festivals in the United States and Britain, appearing at Coachella and All Tomorrow’s Parties. They later resumed performing after a quieter period, returning to US and UK venues around Oui, LSF and playing Primavera Sound in Barcelona. The band performs as a five-piece rock group. Its concerts are closely associated with vocalist Tim Harrington leaving the stage, moving through the audience and changing costumes during the set, making his physical performance a recurring part of a Les Savy Fav show.
