Lil Wayne in Bangor

Lil Wayne is an American rapper from New Orleans, born Dwayne Michael Carter Jr. in 1982. He first became known through Cash Money Records and the Hot Boys before establishing his solo career with the Tha Carter album series. His best-known tracks include “Lollipop,” “A Milli” and “6 Foot 7 Foot,” while the Dedication and Da Drought mixtapes are also central to his catalogue. The I Am Music Tour took Lil Wayne through North American arenas in 2008 and 2009. In 2014, he and Drake co-headlined the amphitheater tour Drake vs. Lil Wayne, presenting their sets within a rap-battle format. He launched the hometown festival Lil WeezyAna Fest the following year, then played theaters and clubs in 2023 on the Welcome to Tha Carter Tour.
