Linea Aspera is a British minimal-synth and darkwave duo formed in London in 2011 by vocalist Alison Lewis and electronic musician Ryan Ambridge. Their self-titled 2012 album established their stark analogue sound through tracks including “Synapse,” “Malarone” and “Eviction”; after reuniting, they released the album LP II. Linea Aspera returned to the stage in 2019 after a six-year separation, restoring a live format built around Lewis’s vocals and Ambridge’s electronics. They later performed at Wave-Gotik-Treffen in Leipzig in 2022, and the reunited duo has also taken its live set to Mexico City.
