Artist
Lionel Richie is an American singer, songwriter and producer, born in Tuskegee, Alabama, in 1949. He first recorded with Motown group the Commodores, singing and writing songs including “Easy” and “Three Times a Lady,” before beginning a solo career. His best-known solo recordings include “All Night Long (All Night),” “Hello,” “Say You, Say Me” and “Dancing on the Ceiling,” while the album Can’t Slow Down became a central work in his catalogue. In 1984, Richie performed “All Night Long (All Night)” at the Olympic Games closing ceremony in the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. He later appeared on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury Festival in 2015, followed by the Lionel Richie: All the Hits residency at The AXIS at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. In 2023, he returned to arenas for the Sing a Song All Night Long tour with Earth, Wind & Fire.
Frequently Asked Questions
Climate Pledge Arena sits within the Seattle Center complex just north of downtown, so many visitors arrive via central transit hubs or short rideshare and taxi trips rather than driving directly into the surrounding neighborhoods.
