Little Stranger in Dallas

Little Stranger is an American alternative hip-hop duo formed in Charleston, South Carolina, by Philadelphia natives John and Kevin Shields. They play rap shaped by reggae rock and indie songwriting, and are known for “Coffee & a Joint” and the albums Styles & Dynamics and Trip Around Saturn. Little Stranger performed at Bonnaroo before appearing at Lollapalooza, bringing its two-vocalist setup to major US festivals. The duo has also played Red Rocks Amphitheatre alongside its own club and theatre dates. Their concerts center on John and Kevin Shields trading rapped verses and sung hooks over guitar, keyboards and looped beats.

Tropidelic is an American band formed in Cleveland in 2005. Their music combines reggae rock, funk and hip-hop, and their catalog includes the albums Heavy Is the Head and All the Colors, as well as songs such as “Alcoholic,” “Bad One” and “Leviathan.” Tropidelic launched its own Ohio festival under the name Freakstomp, later renaming it Everwild; the event has been held at Legend Valley in Thornville. The band’s wider festival history includes performances at California Roots Music and Arts Festival and Reggae Rise Up Florida.
