Artists
Los Lobos are an American band formed in East Los Angeles in 1973. They play rock and roll, blues, Tex-Mex, cumbia, bolero and norteño, and are best known for their recording of “La Bamba” for the film of the same name. Their catalog also includes the albums How Will the Wolf Survive? and Kiko, plus songs such as “Will the Wolf Survive?” and “Don’t Worry Baby.” A 2004 performance at the Fillmore in San Francisco was released as Live at the Fillmore. The band later joined Tedeschi Trucks Band and North Mississippi Allstars on the 2016 Wheels of Soul tour, then marked five decades together with a 50th Anniversary Tour in 2023. New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival has brought them back repeatedly, as has Hardly Strictly Bluegrass.
Los Lonely Boys are an American rock trio of brothers Henry, Jojo and Ringo Garza from San Angelo, Texas. Their music draws on blues rock, Tex-Mex and Latin rhythms, a style they call “Texican rock.” The band became widely known through its self-titled debut album and the song “Heaven,” followed by records including Sacred, Forgiven and Rockpango. In 2004, the trio performed at Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Guitar Festival in Dallas. The 2005 concert album Live at the Fillmore documented their three-piece stage format at the San Francisco venue. In 2014, they joined Los Lobos for the co-headlining Brotherhood Tour.
