Varun Grover in Mumbai

Varun Grover is an Indian stand-up comedian, screenwriter, lyricist and filmmaker, born in 1980. He wrote the screenplay for Masaan, worked on the series Sacred Games and wrote lyrics for films including Gangs of Wasseypur and Dum Laga Ke Haisha; the latter features his song “Moh Moh Ke Dhaage.” He also directed the feature film All India Rank. As a member of Aisi Taisi Democracy, Grover toured in a political-satire show with comedian Sanjay Rajoura and musician Rahul Ram. He subsequently performed solo material in theatres and comedy venues, and his stand-up was recorded in the special Nothing Makes Sense.
