Loverboy is a Canadian rock band formed in Calgary in 1979 by vocalist Mike Reno and guitarist Paul Dean. Their hard rock and pop hooks became closely associated with the 1980s through songs including “Working for the Weekend,” “Turn Me Loose” and “Lovin’ Every Minute of It,” as well as the albums Loverboy and Get Lucky. Loverboy performed at the US Festival in California in 1983, when the band was playing arenas behind Get Lucky and Keep It Up. Decades later, the group joined Styx and REO Speedwagon for the 2022 Live & UnZoomed tour, then opened the 2024 Best of All Worlds tour headed by Sammy Hagar.
