Maite Kelly is an American singer of Irish family background, born in West Berlin in 1979, who performs German-language pop and schlager. She first became known as a member of the family group The Kelly Family before establishing a solo career through songs including “Sieben Leben für dich,” “Heute Nacht für immer” and “Einfach Hello.” She also recorded the duet “Warum hast du nicht nein gesagt” with Roland Kaiser. Maite Kelly spent the 1990s touring Europe as part of The Kelly Family, and the group’s 1995 open-air concert at Loreley became a filmed live release. Her later solo tours were built around her German-language repertoire, including Sieben Leben für dich and Die Liebe siegt sowieso, followed by Hello! Die neue Show.
