MarchFourth in Bozeman

MarchFourth is an American performance ensemble formed in Portland, Oregon, in 2003. Formerly billed as MarchFourth Marching Band, it plays brass-heavy funk, rock and jazz through horns, marching percussion, electric guitar and bass. The albums “Rise Up” and “Magnificent Beast” are among its recorded works. The group gave its first performance on March 4, 2003, the date that supplied its name. It went on to tour across North America and Europe, bringing its marching-band roots into clubs, theatres and outdoor events. A MarchFourth show combines a large live band with dancers, acrobats and stilt walkers. The brass and percussion sections remain at the centre of the performance while the musicians and other performers move around the stage. Festival appearances have included Bumbershoot in Seattle and the Voodoo Experience in New Orleans.
