Marie Davidson in Lisbon

Marie Davidson is a Canadian electronic musician, producer and vocalist from Montreal. Her records combine techno, minimal synth and spoken-word performance; she is best known for the albums Adieux au Dancefloor and Working Class Woman, as well as the tracks “Work It” and “So Right.” She has also recorded as one half of the duo Essaie pas. Marie Davidson built her solo performances around electronic hardware, forceful rhythms and her own vocals. In 2019 she announced that she would retire that live format after completing her scheduled shows. She subsequently presented the album Renegade Breakdown in a band setting alongside Pierre Guerineau and Asaël R. Robitaille under the name Marie Davidson & L’Œil Nu.
