Marie Rottrova in Litomyšl

Marie Rottrova is a Czech singer, born in Ostrava in 1941, whose repertoire covers soul-influenced pop and chanson. She is known for songs including “Lásko, voníš deštěm,” “Ten vůz už jel,” “Markétka” and “Skořápky ořechů.” In 1969 she joined Flamingo, also known as Plameňáci, which became her principal concert and recording band during the next phase of her career. She later performed under her own name and mounted a farewell tour in 2011, but subsequently returned for selected concerts and anniversary performances in Prague.
