Masanori Sera in Osaka

Masanori Sera is a Japanese rock singer-songwriter and actor, born in Hiroshima in 1955. He first became known as the lead singer of Sera Masanori & Twist, whose late-1970s songs included “Anta no Ballad,” “Hikigane” and “Moero Ii Onna.” He continued recording under his own name after the band ended. In the late 1970s, Sera Masanori & Twist brought its rock concerts to large halls including Nippon Budokan. He later developed parallel live formats as a solo acoustic performer and as the frontman of the electric rock band GUILD9. He also performs in the acoustic duo Otokichiemon with guitarist Yoshihiro Nozaki.
