Artist
Massacration is a Brazilian comedy heavy-metal band created in 2002 by members of the television troupe Hermes e Renato. Conceived for sketches on MTV Brasil, the group plays metal through exaggerated fictional personas and is known for songs including “Metal Is the Law” and “Evil Papagali,” as well as the albums Gates of Metal Fried Chicken of Death and Good Blood Headbangers. The 2017 live release Live Metal Espancation documented the group’s concert form after a hiatus. The musicians perform in character, led by Bruno Sutter as the high-voiced singer Detonator.
