Matt Schofield in Hagerstown

Matt Schofield is a British guitarist and singer-songwriter, born in Manchester in 1977, who plays electric blues shaped by jazz and funk. His recorded work includes Siftin’ Thru Ashes, Heads, Tails & Aces, Anything But Time and Far As I Can See. The Trio, Live, recorded at London’s Jazz Cafe and released in 2004, established the organ-trio setting at the heart of his stage work. The later concert album Ten From The Road documented that touring format, pairing his guitar and vocals with drums and Hammond organ, an instrument long played in his band by Jonny Henderson.
