Max Giesinger is a German pop singer-songwriter, born in Waldbronn in 1988. He first reached a national television audience on The Voice of Germany and became widely known for “80 Millionen” and “Wenn sie tanzt.” His albums include Laufen lernen, Der Junge, der rennt, Die Reise and Vier. The Laufen Lernen Tour took him through Germany after he released his debut album independently. The success of “80 Millionen” led to a longer run behind Der Junge, der rennt, followed by concerts in theatres and open-air venues on the Die Reise Tour. He later returned to the road for the Vier Tour.
No Angels is a German pop group formed in 2000 through the first German season of the television show Popstars. The original lineup comprised Nadja Benaissa, Lucy Diakovska, Sandy Mölling, Vanessa Petruo and Jessica Wahls. Their debut album, Elle'ments, produced the singles “Daylight in Your Eyes” and “Rivers of Joy”; later releases included “There Must Be an Angel” and “Something About Us.” After reuniting, the group represented Germany at the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest with “Disappear.” The Rivers of Joy Tour took No Angels around Germany in 2001, followed by the Four Seasons Tour in 2002. Two decades later, the Celebration Tour returned the group to large concert stages and included an open-air show at Parkbühne Wuhlheide in Berlin in 2022.
