Maximo Park in Dinslaken

Maxïmo Park are an English indie-rock band formed in Newcastle upon Tyne in 2000. Their sharp, post-punk-rooted sound reached a wide audience through the Mercury Prize-nominated debut album A Certain Trigger and songs including “Apply Some Pressure,” “Graffiti” and “Going Missing.” Our Earthly Pleasures followed with “Our Velocity” and “Books from Boxes.” The band toured A Certain Trigger throughout 2005 and performed at Glastonbury and the Reading and Leeds festivals that summer. They headlined Metro Radio Arena in 2007, then played their debut in full on a tenth-anniversary tour in 2015. Two years later, full-album shows celebrating Our Earthly Pleasures included a concert at the Roundhouse in London.
