MC Chris & Mega Ran in Portland

MC Chris is the stage name of American rapper, comedian and voice actor Christopher Ward, whose music is rooted in nerdcore hip-hop. He is known for “Fett’s Vette” and “Nrrrd Grrrl,” as well as the albums Life’s a Bitch and I’m Her Pimp and Dungeon Master of Ceremonies. His voice work includes Hesh on Sealab 2021 and MC Pee Pants on Aqua Teen Hunger Force. MC Chris performed on the Vans Warped Tour, bringing his rapid delivery and pop-culture narratives to the festival’s punk-oriented audiences. He has also headlined club tours around the United States and made repeat appearances at Nerdapalooza in Orlando.

Mega Ran is the stage name of American rapper Raheem Jarbo, a Philadelphia native known for nerdcore hip-hop built around video games and related culture. His best-known releases include Mega Ran, inspired by Capcom’s Mega Man series, Black Materia: Final Fantasy VII and the K-Murdock collaboration Forever Famicom. Mega Ran performed at Nerdapalooza during the festival’s years in Orlando, bringing his game-centered catalog to an event closely associated with nerdcore. His appearances at gaming events have also included MAGFest, and he has performed live rap sets at PAX.
