Comedian
Melanie Bracewell is a New Zealand stand-up comedian, screenwriter and television presenter known for co-hosting The Cheap Seats in Australia and writing for Wellington Paranormal. Her comedy draws on personal stories, social awkwardness and observations about everyday behaviour. Melodrama earned her the Billy T Award at the 2018 New Zealand International Comedy Festival. She later took The Rumours Are True to the 2021 Melbourne International Comedy Festival, where it received the Directors’ Choice Award, and subsequently presented Forget Me Not there.
