Artist
Melike Şahin is a Turkish singer-songwriter born in Istanbul in 1989. After performing with the psychedelic folk group BaBa ZuLa, she launched a solo career rooted in Turkish pop, arabesk and Anatolian folk melodies. Her debut album, Merhem, and songs including “Tutuşmuş Beraber” and “Uykumun Boynunu Bükme” established her solo repertoire; she followed it with the album Akkor. In 2017, she moved from BaBa ZuLa’s touring lineup to solo concerts presented under the name Diva Bebe Show. After Merhem, she performed her solo repertoire at theatres and open-air venues, including Istanbul’s Harbiye Cemil Topuzlu Open-Air Theatre.
