Melinda Schneider in Caloundra

Melinda Schneider is an Australian country singer-songwriter, born in Sydney in 1971. She is known for songs including “The Story of My Life” and “Real People,” albums such as Stronger and Be Yourself, and the Doris Day tribute album Melinda Does Doris. Her recordings have received multiple Golden Guitar Awards. In 2011, Melinda Schneider took Melinda Does Doris beyond the record by co-writing and starring in Doris Day: So Much More Than the Girl Next Door, a stage production that toured Australian theatres. She later joined Beccy Cole for the album and concert project Great Women of Country and the Songs That Made Them, built around songs associated with women in country music.
