Meli'sa Morgan is an American R&B and soul singer, born in Queens, New York, in 1964. After singing with Shades of Love and High Fashion, she began a solo career led by her version of Prince’s “Do Me, Baby”; “Fool’s Paradise” and “Do You Still Love Me?” are also central songs in her catalogue. Before her solo debut, Meli'sa Morgan worked as a backing vocalist for Melba Moore and Chaka Khan. She then moved to appearances under her own name, performing her solo material after a period that also included backing-vocal work for Whitney Houston.
