Mereba in Los Angeles

Mereba is an American singer-songwriter, rapper and producer with Ethiopian roots whose music draws on alternative R&B, soul, folk and hip-hop. Her debut album, The Jungle Is the Only Way Out, introduced songs including “Sandstorm,” recorded with JID, and “Planet U”; the later Azeb EP included “Rider.” In 2019, Mereba performed material from The Jungle Is the Only Way Out for NPR Music’s Tiny Desk concert series. She later supported Leon Bridges on dates of the Gold-Diggers Sound Tour in 2022, and that year she also performed at Coachella.
