Metalachi in San Juan Capistrano

Metalachi is an American band formed in Los Angeles that recasts hard rock and heavy metal songs as mariachi. Its repertoire includes versions of Ozzy Osbourne’s “Crazy Train,” Guns N’ Roses’ “Sweet Child o’ Mine” and Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody,” while the albums Uno, Dos and Tres document the group’s approach. The band developed its concert act in Los Angeles clubs before taking the show to venues around the United States and the United Kingdom. Metalachi performs as a costumed ensemble using mariachi instrumentation, including violin, trumpet and guitarrón, and has brought that format to England’s Download Festival.
