Artists
Mig 21 is a Czech pop-rock band formed in Prague in 1998. Its witty, often absurd lyrics and melodic rock arrangements are heard in songs including “Snadné je žít,” “Malotraktorem” and “Slepic pírka.” Mig 21 have repeatedly played several consecutive nights at Lucerna Music Bar, a pattern tied to their autumn concert runs. Their tours through Czech clubs, theatres and cultural halls use the band’s five-piece format, fronted at the microphone by actor and singer Jiří Macháček.
Wohnout are a Czech rock band formed in Prague in 1996. Their music draws on alternative rock, punk and pop, often pairing guitar hooks with humorous Czech lyrics. They are known for songs including “Svaz českých bohémů” and “Gastrosexual,” as well as albums such as Cundalla and Karton veverek. Wohnout have performed at Rock for People and Votvírák during their long run on the Czech summer-festival circuit. Away from those outdoor events, they have toured clubs and concert halls around the Czech Republic. Their concerts use a four-piece rock-band format, led on guitar and vocals by brothers Matěj Homola and Jan Homola.
