Mike Sanchez in Sheffield

Mike Sanchez is a British singer and pianist, born in London in 1964, who plays boogie-woogie, rhythm and blues, rockabilly and early rock and roll. He co-founded the Big Town Playboys and later performed as a singer and pianist with Bill Wyman’s Rhythm Kings; his solo records include Just Can’t Afford It and Women & Cadillacs. The Big Town Playboys toured as support for Eric Clapton, bringing Sanchez’s piano-led rock and roll to theatres and arenas. He subsequently led his own band and spent years touring as a vocalist and pianist with Bill Wyman’s Rhythm Kings.
