Artist
Mitski is an American singer-songwriter born in Japan in 1990. She writes indie rock and art pop, and her catalog includes the albums Bury Me at Makeout Creek, Puberty 2 and Be the Cowboy, as well as the songs “Your Best American Girl,” “Nobody” and “Washing Machine Heart.” In 2018, Mitski supported Lorde on the North American leg of the Melodrama World Tour. She closed the Be the Cowboy touring cycle at Central Park SummerStage in 2019, then stepped away from live performance before returning for the Laurel Hell Tour in 2022. The 2024 The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We tour presented her songs as a choreographed full-band theatre production.
