Artist
Modern English are a British new wave and post-punk band formed in Colchester, Essex, in 1977. They are best known for “I Melt with You,” released on the album After the Snow, and for songs including “Hands Across the Sea.” The 2022 After the Snow anniversary tour featured the band performing the album in full across North America. Modern English later joined the 2024 Totally Tubular Festival tour, whose performers also included Thomas Dolby and Thompson Twins’ Tom Bailey.
