Comedian
Monika Gruber is a German cabaret performer, actress and author, born in 1971 in Bavaria. She is known for Bavarian-dialect comedy about everyday life and politics, presented in programmes including Hauptsach' g'sund and Zu wahr, um schön zu sein. Her screen work includes the comedy series Die Komiker and the film Eine ganz heiße Nummer. She presented her first solo programme, Kellnerin Monique: Schmeckt's ned?, in 2004 and later toured theatres and arenas with successive cabaret shows. The farewell tour for Ohne Worte! concluded at Munich's Olympiahalle in 2024. She performs chiefly in Germany and Austria.
