Artist
Morcheeba are a British group formed in London in 1995 by Skye Edwards and brothers Paul and Ross Godfrey. Their downtempo electronic music draws on trip-hop and soul, and they are known for albums including Big Calm and Fragments of Freedom, as well as songs such as “The Sea,” “Trigger Hippie” and “Rome Wasn’t Built in a Day.” The 2002 film From Brixton to Beijing documented Morcheeba in performance and on tour. Skye Edwards returned to the group in 2010 for Blood Like Lemonade, and the band subsequently toured behind records including Head Up High, Blaze Away and Blackest Blue. Morcheeba perform as a full band, centred on Skye Edwards’s lead vocal and Ross Godfrey’s guitar.
