About Murder Junkies
Murder Junkies are an American punk band formed as the backing group for GG Allin. The band is closely associated with Allin’s final studio album, Brutality and Bloodshed for All, and its core lineup included bassist Merle Allin and drummer Dino Sex.
The 1993 tour with GG Allin ended at The Gas Station in New York City on June 27, his final performance. Footage from that concert appears in Todd Phillips’s documentary Hated: GG Allin and the Murder Junkies. After Allin’s death, the group returned to the road with other vocalists and played punk clubs in the United States and Europe.
The Murder Junkies perform as a full punk band, and nude drumming has long been a stage trademark of Dino Sex.
