Artist
Najee is an American saxophonist and flutist, born Jerome Najee Rasheed in New York City in 1957. He plays smooth and contemporary jazz rooted in R&B and soul, and is known for albums including Najee’s Theme, Day by Day and Tokyo Blue. In 1983, Najee toured with Chaka Khan before beginning his solo recording career. He later toured with Prince and has led his own band at events including Capital Jazz Fest and the Seabreeze Jazz Festival.
