Neon Indian in Santa Fe

Neon Indian is an American electronic music project founded in Denton, Texas, in 2008 by Alan Palomo. Its hazy synth-pop and psychedelic electronic sound became closely associated with chillwave through the debut album Psychic Chasms and songs including “Deadbeat Summer” and “Polish Girl”; later albums include Era Extraña and VEGA INTL. Night School. Following Psychic Chasms, Neon Indian toured North America and Europe as a live band. The project returned to clubs and festival stages behind Era Extraña, then played further headline dates after the release of VEGA INTL. Night School. Alan Palomo leads the stage lineup on vocals, guitar and synthesizers, supported by touring musicians who turn the studio recordings into full-band arrangements. Neon Indian has performed at Coachella in Indio, while Chicago hosted the project at Pitchfork Music Festival.
